My Experience with TSA PreCheck®️

I just enrolled into TSA PreCheck®️ and it was a quick, wonderful experience. I completed an online application, which only took a couple of minutes. The application asked security and background questions and let me know which identification documents I needed to bring for an in person appointment. After completing the online application, I scheduled an in person appointment the following day at a convenient location (I went through Idemia and had an appointment at Staples). When I came in for my in person appointment, it took approximately 10 minutes to complete. I verified information on my online application, provided ID documents, took a non-smiling picture (similar to taking a passport picture) and made my payment (they also provided me a coupon to use in Staples). I was informed if I had already booked a flight to notify the airline of my Known Traveler Number (KTN), the number assigned by TSA PreCheck®️, when approved. Upon completion, I was told by the attendant I would receive an email from TSA PreCheck®️ in 3-5 days if I was approved. I received an email confirmation 2 days after my appointment notifying me I was eligible for the program and provided a link to find my KTN. Overall, it took 4 days from the time I completed the online application to getting notification I was approved for TSA PreCheck®️. I look forward to utilizing TSA PreCheck®️ for my upcoming trip!
