Recommendation: Take a ferry to Ponzi Island, which costs approximately €60. There are several tour packages available where you can spend the day out in the sea.

2 Fountains Galore


A must see on your itinerary is visiting one of Roma's fountains. With thousands to visit, the most recognized fountain in Rome (arguably the world) is Trevi Fountain. Created in the 18th century and designed by Nicola Salvi, it is the largest Baroque fountain in The Eternal City standing approx. 26 metres high and 49 metres wide. Spread kindness and goodwill by tossing a coin in the fountain, which is collected by Roman charity, Caritas, which provides social services and food throughout the world. In addition to Fontana del Trevi, other fountains in Roma include Tritone in Barberini Square, Fountain of Frogs in Quartiere Coppedèv, and Fontana della Barcaccia located in Piazza di Spagna.


Recommendation: For good karma, toss a coin (or a couple) into a fountain with your right hand over your left shoulder. For 1 coin, legend says that person will have a safe return back to The Eternal City. For couples, if 2 coins are toss, both will return safely to Rome. For 3 coins, you are guaranteed a Roman wedding!

A great activity to visit with friends or kids, there are several water parks to visit in The Eternal City including MagicSplash, the water park attraction of theme park MagicLand. Located in Valmontone, visitors can go to one or both parks starting at €14,90 and reserve an umbrella and sunbed at Playa Del Sol. Wellness gurus can relax at Bayahibe, a wellness pool where you can relax in a whirlpool tub, wellness pool that is over 400 sq. metres that contains jets, whirlpools and effervescent seating. Sunbathing is also an option with sunbed and umbrella rentals.


Recommendation: Another water park located in Rome is Aqua World, a water park near amusement parks Cinecittà World, a theme park, and Roma World, a natural park with events centered around ancient Rome. Individual tickets are available starting at €10 with subscription options for all 3 parks and include hotel packages.
